City of Houston Sign Ordinance

The following are some of the rules and regulations outlined by No Signs can be nailed to telephone poles.

1. No signs can be taped to traffic signs (stop signs, yield signs, street signs, etc.)
2. No signs can be placed on The City of Houston Right-of Way. You cannot place a sign between the sidewalk and the curb/street. You cannot place a sign between the ditch and the street. It must be a distance of 50ft. from the curb/street.
3. No signs can be placed on private property without written consent of the owner.

YOU CAN BE SUBJECT TO A MISDEMEANOR FINE OF NOT LESS THAN $150.00 AND NOT MORE THAN $500.00 FOR EACH SIGN/VIOLATION.
